Youth and School Programs
The Verde Valley Fair offers several ways for the
youth of our community to become involved in the fair. Programs are
educational and promote a sense of connection to community and help
teach or reinforce education and responsibility. Download a flyer will

Live Stock Show
The youth livestock show is the culmination of the animal husbandry
projects that children have worked on during the months leading up to
the fair. The competition at the fair recognizes the kids for their hard
work through competition and awards the top animals and showmen with
ribbons, trophies and buckles. To enter a livestock exhibit visit our

Junior Art Exhibits
All students from pre-school to 6th grade are invited to participate
in the fun and free project. Check back for all the information

The Fair offers a variety of way to show off your skills and talents.
Additionally, there is a department especially for schools (including
private and home schools) and school aged kids to get involved. Use the

Read to Ride
In an effort to promote literacy in our community the Verde Valley Fair,
in partnership with Brown's Amusements, offers free admission and three
free carnival rides on Thursday April 28, 2011 as part of the Read to
Ride program. All area students in grades K-8 are eligible to
participate. Kids must complete the Read to Ride form and
bring it with them to the fair on the 28th. Read to Ride Form available

Special Guest Day
We know that some of our young guests have special needs join us for a
day just for you April 28th and enjoy free fair admission and limited
free carnival rides. Preregistration required, information (Check Back) Youth Pet Show
Looking for a little fun? Have a dog? Maybe a worm...yes a pet worm! If
you have a pet it probably qualifies for the youth pet show. What tricks
does your newt do? Don't let your crab be a hermit (Check Back)
